You will offer support and guidance with everyday tasks and understand the importance of the role, be confident enough to work alongside Social Workers and other external agents and have both excellent written and communication skills. Ideally you will have experience of working with either families or children with complex or challenging needs

Main duties and responsibilities:

The day-to-day routines vary from taking young people to education, shopping, leisure activities as well as household tasks.

We are looking for individuals who possess the natural attributes required to work in this highly demanding but equally rewarding environment.

Although no two days are the same, general duties will include the following:

  • Maintaining a safe and positive living environment
  • Teaching basic life skills and living skills such as budgeting, shopping, cleaning
  • Implementing Risk Assessments
  • Interacting and taking part in social activities
  • Providing support and guidance
  • Helping young people become independent
  • Keeping accurate records and writing reports
