Residential Activity Worker
We are recruiting Residential Activity Workers on full time, part time and weekend only basis for residential care homes in Northampton and surrounding areas.
We are in a unique position in that we can take on both qualified and experienced staff along with individuals that might not necessary have the relevant qualifications and experience as we have a dedicated training department that can train and support individuals to succeed within this role as we believe that some of the best workers are those with life experience and are just in need of an opportunity to work within the care sector.
This position requires working within residential care settings, working with children and or young adults who have been placed in the care system. You will place great emphasis on interaction and arranging activities for the young people such as rock climbing, biking, swimming, boxing and go-karting. Along with this you will become part of a structured support network which will include proving support, guidance and encouragement to service users on a general day to day basis teaching life skills and creating a safe, happy and homely environment.
Ideal candidates must be patient, understanding and work with a non-judgmental approach and be able to work well with both a core team and alone.
All our RAWs will be required to obtain an enhanced DBS through Fulbridge Social Care unless you subscribe to the new DBS on-line status checks.
A driving license is ideal but not essential.
Available Shift Patterns:
8am – 11pm + sleep
3pm – 11pm + sleep
8am – 11pm
730am – 4pm
3pm – 11pm
11pm – 8am (Waking Watch)
